Jesse Miki runs an art department with a friendly hand and a practical one. The work runs from graphics and drafting through art direction on features, television movies, and series.
He has a background in programming and has built dictionary apps and language games for a First Nations company. He has also run an improvised Dungeons & Dragons show for fifteen years.

Commercial print gear lives with the production, so a graphic of any size can be made in-house, turned around cheaper than sending it out, and changed on a Sunday night before the shoot. He wraps vehicles too.
Breakdowns, budgets, and labour stay visible, and the art department stays on the number. On the series Safehaven he ran an art budget of more than a million dollars. Plans, blueprints, and 3D renderings are part of the job.
